Applying ASOP 56: Modeling

June 11, 2025 - 11am ET, 5pm CET
Join Thomas Holmes, Chief Actuary US at Akur8 and Josh Meyers, Lead Actuarial Data Scientist for a session on applications of ASOP 56.
Predictive modeling is becoming ubiquitous in actuarial functions, and the building and evaluation of these models should be guided by ASOP 56. The good news is that this ASOP is flexible enough to be applied to all actuarial models. The bad news is that application of this ASOP must also be flexible across various models and situations.

This presentation will start with high level applications of ASOP 56 and drill down into more detailed decisions. Whether you are building models yourself or relying on experts, this presentation will familiarize you with discussions that need to happen throughout the modeling process and model lifecycle.

The webinar will be hosted on Zoom. If your company blocks Zoom, you may not receive the confirmation email. However, we will share the recording with you after the event.
